HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOHN !!!

We celebrated John-style early for his birthday since he is now at NU. We had home-made carrot cake and ice cream. And the boys played a 3-hour game of settlers of Catan (Rebecca opted out at about 1 .5 hours). Finally Dad won! Then John opened a few gifts, and Rebecca was reminded of "The Monkey Man" days when she gave John the gift bag she had chosen for him. (This goes back to when they used to do school together--you'll have to ask them about it.)
