JOHN IS COMING HOME ! !

¡hurra!

We are very excited! We plan to see John this Tuesday night! It will basically be just an overnight layover for him as he heads on to Germany, but nonetheless, we will be able to hug him in person! After his visit to Germany and France, he plans to return here for a more lengthy visit starting Dec. 11. If you think of him, please remember him in your prayers.

Dear Adam, Ruth, little Johnny and new baby, David and Kelsea, Rebecca, John, Esther, Joseph, Daniel, and Timothy,

We often marvel at God's mercy and kindness that He blessed our lives with all of you. Each one of you are such an important part of our lives. We are convinced that the Lord is working in and through each one of you to fulfill His great purposes in the world. How very wonderful it is to be blessed with children who love God and are willing to live for the sake of the Gospel!

The Lord bless you on this Thanksgiving Day! We hold no other blessing we have received in this world to even compare to the immeasurable blessing of each of you.

This past Saturday, Nov. 21st, Josh Wagner and Ruthie Lee were married! It was a very God- Honoring celebration. The sun was shining all day, the sky clear and blue, and the temperature very warm for November.

Dad and I had the honor of being invited to the groom's dinner Friday night, which made the whole celebration so much more personal for us.
We got to meet Ruthie's family before the wedding and had time to talk to Josh and Ruthie more than we could have on the wedding day. It is very obvious that Josh has found his completer, and Ruthie looks up to Josh very much and cherishes his love. I was greatly rejoicing to see how God has answered many prayers.

Mr. Wagner, Maria, and Glen Larson sang "The Law of the Lord is Perfect" together, which was very beautiful. It brought back memories of years ago when Glen and Matt used to sing together, and separately they both told me that those memories flooded over them also. Also, Ruthie's grandfather sang a song that was composed for his own wedding, which he has sung for many years now at the family weddings. MANY people were at the wedding and reception, a cake reception, including Brian and Tabita, Andy Johnson, Sarah Larson, and many from now and old church. Many said "Hi" to you kids and asked about you.

We helped in the reception hall decorating on Friday night, which was fun (with Ruthie's family). The church and reception hall were decorated in autumn theme and the bridesmaids wore a beautiful brown color. Ruthie's uncle put together a wonderful video, which we were thankful to have seen on Friday night when we could see and hear it much better . All in all, it was a very wonderful celebration, and I am very grateful for the blessing of the Lord to bring them together as He did. All of us at home were able to attend, and we all had a wonderful time.

Rebecca's Return

c'est magnifique!

We are all excitedly awaiting the return of our beloved Rebecca! I am a little reluctant to rejoice too much though because I know she will be missed over in France now, and it won't be easy for her to leave her loved ones there.
I also hope the speed of life here won't be too overwhelming after having a slower more relaxed life in France.

But it will be a GREAT blessing to have her here with us again.

The "D" blog revealed! ! !

After getting more comments on a "D" accidentally published on my blog than any other entry I've made to this date (published 11/5), I realized that it might be interesting for those who noticed it to know how it happened to be published.

I had been attempting to enter the poem that Daniel just memorized, and for some reason it didn't work for me, so I quit because of lack of time, thinking I'd come back later. So the "D" from Daniel's name remained and was published. Sorry if that took away from the mystery of it for you all!

So...here is the poem. And it is one of my all-time favorites! Daniel chose it totally on his own and told me he wanted to memorize it. And he did! I'm proud of him! (Others of you have memorized this poem in the past too!)

A sound mind

The following verses were ones that I just read this morning, and thought how beautifully sound they are. They are a good over-all assessment of our thoughts, to see if we are thinking and living according to the Holy Spirit. May your day be blessed with these words from God!

Romans 12:10-21

Johnny's new sweater and cap

Hi everyone. No, this picture is not from MN, even though the background looks like it could be. And Johnny is dressed just right for the weather today in MN. But it is a picture that Adam sent today, and I saw the sweater on their blog yesterday. But it even looks better ON John (of course I knew it would). I just wanted you all to see the darling boy in his new sweater and cap to match. Adam's Mom made it! Keep working on your knitting, Rebecca. I would say it is worth it!
