HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADAM!!

Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent?
  Who shall dwell on your holy hill?
He who walks blamelessly and does what is right    and      speaks truth in his heart;
who does not slander with his tongue  and does no evil to his neighbor,  nor takes up a reproach against his friend;
4 in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear the Lord;who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
who does not put out his money at interest and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.  Psalm 15

Happy  Birthday Adam!
We love you!

A Few August Photos!

Daniel is holding a little orphaned
bunny found by Joseph in the very tall grass
when he mowed at Delaney's.  Thankfully, we
let it loose here, and we think it is still living
because Timothy saw it hopping in the Linde's
yard about a week later.

John before his recent haircut.  He is posing with his giant dragon
that he rescued from being thrown away at Dichtomatik
when he first started work there.

The two newsest Alzen boys, Jacob and Jonas, with
Daniel and Timothy after 5-Day club at our house.

I know you kids always say your first creations are only
worth throwing out, but I maintain that they are beautiful.
The heavy ones are wonderful for vases.  Here is one of Rebecca's!

First of More Upcoming Fun July Memories!

Yesterday when I was outside with Timothy, he said," We may not have the most attractive yard in the neighborhood, but we definitely have the prettiest garden."

When I sort of laughed, he said, "No, really Mom, it is so colorful."

Then I told him that it was a high compliment coming from a gardener like him!  Timothy likes taking good care of the yard, and watches over his 3 (quite large now) tomato plants.  Also, Mrs. Linde has hired him to take care of all the potted plants in her yard while they are gone for 2 weeks. (And their cat.)  So every day Timothy heads out to check and water them, which is a pretty big job.  I went with him the first day.

P.S.  I had promised to put pictures of the
garden on as the summer progressed.
I know you love gardens, Ruth, so I hope
you enjoy the pictures.

The plants in June.  They don't get much sun, so they are
doing  fairly well considering. (See below.)

Here is Timothy in June pointing to
the first small green tomato on his plants.

Here is a picture taken today, Aug. 3rd.  That first little
tomato above turned ripe and was eaten.  There are
a lot of tomatoes on these. Hope there is time for
 them to all ripen.  It would be
nice to see
 what these plants would look like
if they got a lot of sun!
