Here is Daniel with one of the sleds that he, Timothy, and Joseph made this year. They bought the Christmas tree, earned money to go tubing for Daniel's birthday, got Christmas presents, and are intending to buy a mower on Saturday for Joseph and Daniel to work on and resell in the spring. BOY! The sled-making business has sure been great for our family, hasn't it? |

December 23-Christmas party at the Medford's!

First we all had wild rice chicken or cream of broccoli soup and home baked bread. Then there was playing of games and Christmas carol singing! |
 |
| Some kids chose to stay outside in the balmy weather most of the night! |
When we got home around 11 p.m. Esther, Joseph, and John decided that it was a good time
to decorate the cookies Esther had made earlier in the day. So they had fun till 3 a.m.!
They saved some cookies and frosting,
and in the morning, Daniel and Timothy finished up the rest.

This is Monday, Dec. 26. We spent this day together as a family. We had a nice brunch with caramel rolls (that turned out great!). Then we opened gifts and played some games.
This is Timothy with a "Gummy Octopus" which was one of the treats in his stocking. |

Daniel and Timothy with indoor baseball bats for the winter! |

This is the year of the "Bucky Balls", small metal magnetic balls that just about everyone in the church got. They really are lots of fun! |

Late afternoon Dad and I went on a walk at the nature center. The weather was mild and beautiful!
Tuesday, Dec. 27 The Alzen family had us out to their home in Wisconsin. We had the great privilege of meeting their two new sons, Jonas (7) and Jacob (10). There was a fun game of football outside, then a delicious meal indoors, games, and music. We really all had such a wonderful time with them! |

Kelsea and David sent us some special home-made flavored popcorn. Everyone enjoyed it, including Michael and Ryan today, and they had to vote for their favorite. The old fashioned caramel came out first, and the ranch flavored second. The candy cane and marshmallow popcorn was also enjoyed by all. Thank you David and Kesea!
As you can see, this has been a VERY full-of-fun Christmas!
Thanks for hanging in there to the end of a LONG blog post!!

Hi Joyce!
I just now read the Daniel's Snow Tubing party and the New Year's Eve Party blogs. I really appreciate the great photos and your comments that give the context. Both blogs are great!
I love you (even when you DON'T post blogs!).
